Father's Day 2009

Well actually Father's Day weekend. The girls and I went with Nana and Bepa to the Seattle Center. I hadn't been to the Pacific Science Center in 20 years. It was so much fun. The funny part...I found all the old exhibits I loved. Not so cool, 30 years later. Loren and Bepa rode the simulator. Loren and Cora loved the buttefly exhibit. We went to the Center House and listen to Iranian Entertainment and snacked. It was great fun. Cora beat the sleep record. Asleep before we left the parking garage. What a great day.

Cora says, "What you want?"

ROSEBUD

Such a hambone that girl of mine is. We are spending Father's Day with Bepa and Nana. Loren, as usual the flower killer, went crazy on Nana's flowers. If it is beautiful, it must be picked-Loren Donley Mantra.

Old Picture yet Still a Classic

Chris and Loren went springer fishing over his birthday. Loren decided she got to pick out his party theme. It was a 41 year old' PRINCESS PARTY. Now, that is love.

The Things They Say...part 4

We were driving by the ice cream man, and Iwas singing, "I know an ice cream man; he owns an ice cream van. He sells most anything from Ice cream on down. Boom Boom Boom One day, I'll change his life. I'll be his ice cream wife. I love that ice cream maaaan." To which Loren responded in song, "He already has a wife; she lives in the back of the truck and gives you the ice cream. Plus he is gross Boom Boom Boom." Impressive and scary at the same time.

The Things They Say...part 3

WE LOVE IT WHEN THEY LEARN TO TALK; WE HATE IT WHEN THEY ACTUALLY DO.

Cora learned to kiss. It is more of an open mouth, suck on your chin thing, but a kiss none the less. Today, she leaned in to kiss Chris, followed by her latest word, "Ick." Now, how sweet is that.

Next, I realized why Chris is insistent that I rinse all dishes before they go in the dishwasher. This would have been better realized before Cora started eating the day old ketchup off a plate.

Finally, I am wondering if her ability to throw a fully filled bucket of water from the bathtub across the bathroom is any sign of her future softball prowess.

Hmmm...Children leaves us wondering.

DANCING QUEEN

Loren was watching some break dancing video. For the singing, I am assuming it was the Herbie Hancock Beverly Hills Cop song, but it could be just about anything.

Their Eating Habits

Cora loves bananas. I took these because of her spiking hair. She has more hair than Loren did.

Loren is almost messier than Cora. Here, she decided that she want to eat chocolate out of bowl like a dog. Hence the chocolate all over her face. All I can say, "That's my girl!"
